This year there were 4 Recovery Month Heroes that were awarded plaques and trophies and they include: Hercules Finely-Minister to the ‘addicted’ in Wichita. Hercules won the award for ‘Spreading the Message of Christ to Suffering Addicts in Wichita, Kansas.” Hercules said it was the best prize he has ever won! Charles Moose won the trophy for ‘2007 Counselor of the Year’. Charles has helped addicts at Parallax, Inc. for many years and has positively impacted hundreds of people looking for hope in recovery. Mr. Moose is a real hero and over 50 of his clients were there to witness his award presentation. |

On September 22, 2007, Miracles, Inc. hosted the first annual Recovery Month Party and Awards Ceremony. There were over 150 men, women and children in attendance. We had a fantastic time celebrating recovery and the company of one another. Surely, God was with us during the celebration as we had two ministers that received awards and several prayers of gratitude for recovery! Often many ‘real’ heroes go unnoticed and awards are given to those that are indeed |

deserving, but have public support, political friends, and other positions of power and authority. Those that work tirelessly behind the scenes making us ‘directors’ look pretty are not always publicly recognized or thanked.

Jason Ware received an award for his ‘Creativity and Passion for Recovery” and his active role in the 12-step community. Jason is just one of those people who put a smile on your face. He is charismatic, warm and full of laughter. He is very active in Cocaine |

Anonymous and brings sunshine to the world. Kathy Miller was the final Recovery Month award winner. Kathy was given the ‘2007 Recovery Volunteer of the Year’ award! Kathy is an employee of Miracles, Inc. and has given enormous and uncounted |

volunteer hours to this community to help C.A. and inspire others’ to volunteer. Kathy is another hero that works tirelessly behind the scenes without recognition, but this year she was recognized and praised for her hard work to help the 12 step community! |
