Rhonda Walker, L.M.S.W., CADC, AAPS, NAADAC C.E.O./Co-Founder
Rhonda is the co-founder of Miracles, Inc. (1992) and has been a social worker for over 20 years. Walker has Bachelors in Social Work (1987) Stephen F. Austin State University; Bachelors in Science (1992) Newman University; and a Masters Degree in Social Work (1998) from The University of Kansas. Rhonda has presented numerous seminars on Homelessness, Addiction, and the Strengths-Model of Case Management. She received an award from the Wichita Business Journal’s ‘40 Under 40’, forty people less than forty years of age that have made extraordinary positive impact on the community (2004). She has been appointed to numerous State-wide and local councils’ and planning committees; She is an expert in the field of addictions, homelessness, women’s treatment, children’s prevention and integrated substance abuse and mental health treatment. Walker is known for her keen sense of social justice and advocacy for women with children in recovery.

Barbara Williams, L.S.C.S.W. Clinical Consultant
Barbara has over 40 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families and children. Mrs. Williams specializes in the treatment of sexually abused children, court testimony and providing an atmosphere for healing and transformation in the lives of abused adults and children. She is an expert in her field and known throughout Wichita, KS for her expertise in the area of developmental psychology, family systems, and trauma victimization and recovery.

Beverly Goering, L.M.S.W., AAPS Clinical Director of Programs
Beverly received her Masters of Social Work degree from Newman University and has 6 years of experience in social work and addictions counseling. She is expecting to complete her clinical supervision for licensed specialist social worker by February 2008.
Beverly supervises the dual-diagnosis unit at Sanctuary House.

Debbie has over 10 year social work experience including with SRS/Child Protection, Salvation Army Foster Care and Miracles House. Debbie sits on the Wichita Homeless Coalition (2004-present).

Homeless Advocate-Gypsy is a well-known homeless advocate in Wichita, Kansas and the Founder of Project Light, a referral agency for homeless services. Gypsy is on numerous committees for homeless advocacy and planning to end chronic homelessness in Wichita, Kansas.

Judy Schaben holds a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Friends University (2000). She was a Parole Officer from 1999-2004 and a Case Manager at Miracles, Inc. for two years. Judy specializes in teaching life skills classes including budgeting, short term and long term financial planning.

Rose Dillard Therapist
Rose is a licensed Master Social Worker and provides therapy for Sanctuary House, a residential program for women that have a co-occurring mental disorder. She acquired her MSW degree at Wichita State University and has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth. Ms. Dillard also has a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition from Kansas State University as is a designated WIC Nutrition Counselor. Among her many previous jobs, Rose has worked for Lansing Prison, COMCARE, Via Christi Good Shepherd and the Breakthrough Club in Wichita.

Tamathy Russell Night Monitor
Tammie is the Day Monitor for residential treatment services and is a mother of 3 children; Cady, Cody and Coby. She graduated from Northwest High School in 1988 with a 3.83 GPA. Previous employment includes office management, payroll, and assisting with insurance claims at Plan Life Wise, Co. She is active in the 12-step community and the chairperson of the Women’s Meeting at Winners. She also volunteers by leading a recovery group in her home.

Laveda Stone is pursuing her nursing license and is currently the residential night monitor. She has worked with the elderly in as assisted living program and has experience with drug and alcohol consumers at Parallax, Inc.
